Oh first ever blog post!
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, I just seemed to click a few buttons and ended up here. I set this account up a couple of weeks ago but kept deleting anything I started to write but after finishing off a project today i thought it was the perfect opportunity to start.
I've been working on this project for a about 2 weeks. To be honest it wouldn't have taken that long if i had stuck with it but as usual I made a good start and then found myself sidetracked by a few smaller projects before going back to finishing it off.
So here's the finally finished item
A Pink Panther!
He is very big. I think he's the biggest crocheted softie I've ever made but I love him!
I bought the pattern from Ravelry this should hopefully be the link http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/big-pink-panther-a-crochet-pattern-by-erin-scull
I highly recommend the pattern it was great to follow and had lots of pics which came in very handy when sewing together all these bits in the right places
Much to the disappointment of my girls this Pink Panther is for my friends daughter who has a bit of a Pink Panther obsession. I love making things for people who i know will appreciate them and I'm sure he will get lots of hugs
In one of my side tracked moments I quickly whipped up a little pink seahorse to send out to a good friends little girl. With the bizarre weather this week she had woken up to snow on Tuesday and ran through to her mum shouting "mummy mummy it's Christmas and Santa will have brought me a pink seahorse!!"
Managed to add a few rounds to my granny octagon blanket this week too when i was too stressed with house hunting/buying to concentrate properly on a pattern. It's still a long way off finished though but it's getting there and I'm sure there will be plenty more stressful moments to work on it
